West Virginia community honors veterans with annual Veteran Breakfast and Stand Down

Saturday morning was a morning filled with honor, respect and love in Princeton WV.

Community leaders, service organizations, and locals citizens participated in the annual Veteran Breakfast and Stand Down event at the Princeton Church of God on Oakvale Road.

Omar Aboulhosn gave a glowing Thank You to everyone that helped to make the inspiring event possible. Enclosed below is a flyer that indicates all that supported the much appreciated event.

Veterans and their family where honored with the presentation of colors and patriotic songs performed by elementary school students of Oakvale Elementary School, from Oakvale, WV.

Afterwards, breakfast was served to everyone in attendance and community organizations were on hand providing information, flu shots, and even legal advice.

Veterans were able to obtain needed personal items such as boots, socks, care packages, and much more outside on the churches breezeway.

Event planning committee members that planned this beautiful event included Omar Aboulhasn, Randy Maxwell, Marie Blackwell, Kevin Weiss, Stephanie Compton, Aaron Edwards, Tracie Hamb, Roger Topping, and Pastor J.B. Hurt.
